Singing/Aural Training/Theory Lessons

Ralph McDonald has been teaching since 1980 and has much experience in working with students of all ages from 10yrs old and above. Lessons of approximately one hour are usually split into firstly 25 minutes of vocal and breathing techniques and the remaining time is spent on the repertoire and management of appropriate languages in the repertoire, mostly French, Italian, Latin, German and English. Lessons can also be tailored to suit students’ immediate needs ie Music Festivals or preparation for examinations such as those set by Trinity College London or ABRSM. Assistance is offered for Initial level through to Diploma level. Advice in both the Classical and/or Musical Theatre fields is possible and advice can also be given on building and constructing programmes for public performances. It is also possible to assist students with theory and/or aural ability although this may require a slightly longer lesson. Singing lessons may need not be connected to any exam preparation etc but can also be treated as general help for those who want to sing as a hobby or merely want to improve their vocal health. He is a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS).

If interested in taking singing lessons then please do not hesitate to contact Ralph for introductory chat about your requirements and details of fees and venue for lessons. Theory classes and aural training are also offered if required. Please see below for contact details.
